Have you ever had the feeling you’re moving fast but not getting anywhere that truly matters? Life can become a treadmill of expectations and pressures, leaving you overwhelmed, exhausted, and disconnected from yourself. You're not alone in feeling this way. What if you could press pause and step into a space of quiet clarity?
The Clearing is a journey for you if you feel the quiet whisper (or loud shout) that something needs to change. Maybe this is you:
You find yourself at a crossroads, and the path forward feels foggy and uncertain.
You feel stuck or burnt out, and the spark that once motivated you feels distant.
You’re navigating a significant life change—even a positive one—and it feels more complicated than you expected.
You simply feel ready to live a more intentional life, guided by your own values and curiosity rather than by external pressures.
Why is it called The Clearing?
On any journey through the woods, the trees can get so thick that you lose your way.
A clearing is a place of respite. It's an open space where you can feel the sun on your face, look up at the vast sky, and get your bearings. It's a place to take a deep breath, to see where you've come from, and to choose your next steps with intention.
This coaching journey is that clearing. It’s not about escaping the path, but about gaining the perspective, confidence, and connection to your true self to walk it with intentionality and optimism.
Your Journey Through The Clearing Includes:
A Complimentary 90-Minute Discovery Session: We start with a generous, no-pressure conversation. It’s a chance for you to feel what it's like to be truly heard and for us to see if we are a good fit.
Nine (9) Private Coaching Sessions: Three times a month, we will create a dedicated space to find the possibilities waiting for you. This consistent rhythm builds momentum and provides unwavering support.
A Personalized EQ Assessment: We will use a powerful, human-centered tool to bring clarity to your innate emotional intelligence strengths and skills. This isn't about putting you in a box, but about giving you a new lens to understand yourself with greater compassion.
Support Between Sessions: You’ll have access to me via email or text for those in-between moments. Whether it's a small win to celebrate or a challenge to navigate, you’ll have a partner in your corner.
A Committed Partner in Your Well-being: More than anything, this is a partnership. I am here to listen deeply, to champion your growth, and to hold a steady, optimistic belief in you—especially on the days you aren’t sure how to.
Who is your guide?
My name is Adam Bouse. The outdoors is where I find my grounding. It’s where the noise of daily life quiets down and the path forward becomes clearer. I became an ICF-certified coach and a certified Nature Connection Specialist to help others find that same sense of clarity in their own lives.
As a brain-based coach with more than 1,000 hours of client experience, my work is focused on the practical tools of emotional intelligence. My real skills as a coach, however, are simpler: deep empathy, listening to what’s not being said, and a knack for synthesizing complexity into a clear picture of what’s possible for you.
Inspired by the wisdom of thinkers like Mary Oliver, Wendell Berry, Richard Rohr, and many more (you can see all my favorite books here), I don’t believe in handing you a map. My role is to be your partner in the process—to create a clearing where you can catch your breath, connect with your inner wisdom, and find your way forward.
“It’s rare to meet someone who truly changes the way you think, lead, and show up in the world. Adam is one of those rare [people].”
“[Adam is] an amazing human being and has a rare ability to connect with others deeply and personally, allowing them to be seen, heard, and valued.”
Questions You Might Be Holding Onto
-
If you’re feeling incredibly busy, I would suggest this is the exact right time to begin. Over time, we all take on the wear and tear of life's trails. We deplete our resources and can lose track of the direction we are heading.
The Clearing is an investment in yourself—not just because it will make you more effective, but because it will help you reconnect with your values and reclaim a sense of grounded well-being. It's a pathway to creating more space, not less.

That’s a fair question in a world full of veiled sales calls, and I’m glad you asked. Let me be very clear: absolutely not.
Generosity is a core value for me, both in life and in my work. This 90-minute discovery session is a genuine and complete coaching experience in itself. It is a protected space for you to share what’s on your mind and for me to listen deeply. My only goal is for you to walk away with a greater sense of clarity and possibility than when we started. That is the true work.
Toward the end of our 90 minutes, if it feels like a natural and powerful fit for both of us, I’ll set aside a few moments to explain how we could continue our journey together in The Clearing.
There is never any pressure or expectation. The decision is always yours. For me, having the chance to connect with and support you for 90 minutes is a worthy outcome in itself.

That's an important question, and the answer is no. While both are valuable, they serve different needs. Therapy, provided by licensed clinicians, often focuses on healing past wounds and treating mental health conditions.
Coaching is a forward-focused partnership designed to help you move from where you are now to where you want to be. A therapist might help heal an old injury; as your coach, I'm the trail guide for the path ahead.
The Clearing is for those feeling stuck or seeking growth, not as a substitute for mental health treatment. If it seems your needs would be better served by a therapist, I will always tell you with transparency and care.

We have options.
If you are local to Central Indiana, we can talk about the potential for in-person sessions (especially if you want to incorporate any nature-based coaching sessions).
Otherwise, we can reliably meet online and have the same powerful, clarifying experience. The majority of my coaching experience has been online, so I feel very comfortable creating a meaningful journey with you.
