FOREST BATHING

Reconnecting with Nature

  • What is Forest Bathing?

Forest Bathings is an intentional practice of spending time in the forest, soaking in the experience through all of your senses. It is less about thinking and more about being. The benefits include mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.

  • Where did this concept come from?

In the 1980s, Japenese researchers began developing practices aimed at undoing and preventing lifestyle-related modern diseases. Shinrin-yoku (森林浴), which literally translates to "forest bathing," has become a clinically studied and applied practice.

  • What does Forest Bathing involve?

Either working with a certified guide or through a self-guided experience, anyone can benefit by slowing down to engage with nature through all of the senses. It is an intentional, mindful, embodied experience.

  • What difference does it make?

Clinical studies have demonstrated that Forest Bathing can, among many things, reduce stress, enhance mental clarity, and combat fatigue, along with improving mood, sleep quality, and immune system performance. It feels good and is good.
